Frequently Asked Questions

  • Most of my sessions are virtual - we meet through a secure online platform in the comfort of your own space.

Upon request, I offer in person sessions in the Upper West Side of Manhattan NY and depending on your treatment goals I will accompany you to specific places to help conquer your fears.

  • The fee is $300 for 45 minute sessions with the first intake session being $500 for 60 minutes. I do not accept insurance but will provide you with the necessary billing documents (Superbills) which can be submitted to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement. Depending on your plan many clients will receive a reimbursement of 60 -90% of session costs.

  • While this will depend on your individualized treatment plan, a typical length of treatment is between 10-15 sessions. However, if you haven’t seen improvement after 4 sessions you should absolutely fire me! After this, some decide to continue treatment to target additional goals or to continue supportive therapy — while many clients don’t have any further need for treatment at all.

  • No. While many of my clients are currently taking medication, my approach to therapy is focused on helping clients feel better and conquer their anxiety without the need for medication.

All decisions regarding reduction or elimination of current medication will be made as a team in collaboration with your psychiatrist.

  • Under the No Surprise Act you are entitled to receive a good faith estimate of how much your treatment could cost. Your total cost for services will depend upon your individual circumstances as well as the number and type of sessions required to meet your treatment goals. If you receive a bill at least $400 more than GFE you may dispute or appeal the bill.
